What a good fit looks like

Three things to get right before you pick a firm.

Most searches stall because these three questions never get asked directly. Tell us your answers by email and we show you which firms have answered them publicly.

01

Expertise in your field

An AI researcher, a software engineer, a biotech scientist, and a founder each need different evidence framed differently. We look for firms that have publicly documented work with applicants like you, and we say so when we do not know.

02

A realistic preparation timeline

How long until a file-ready draft, given your evidence today. That is separate from USCIS processing, which no firm controls. We ask each firm for a preparation timeline and show what they state publicly.

03

Clear scope and legal pricing

What the legal fee covers, and what it does not: government filing fees, premium processing, RFE responses, expert letters. Where a firm publishes this we show it; where it does not, we tell you to confirm before signing.

We help you compare. You choose your lawyer.

Tell us your field, timeline and budget. We help you shortlist.

Email us a few lines about your work, the visa you have in mind if you know it, when you want to file, and your budget. We reply with firms in the directory worth contacting and the questions to ask each one. You decide who to hire and pay them directly.

Explore your visa routes with the AI strategy call

This books VisaCall, a voice conversation with our AI agent in your browser, not a call with a person. It helps you think through which route fits your profile and what evidence matters. It does not produce a lawyer shortlist; email us above for that.

Compare firms yourself

The O-1, EB-1A and NIW market, in one table.

Filter by visa, field, and pricing transparency. Where a firm has publicly stated a fee, a preparation timeline, or what its fee covers, we show it with the source. Where it has not, the row says so. Nothing here is a quote for your case.

Missing a firm?

Suggest an immigration firm.

Paste the firm's website. We read the page for a name, offices, and any published pricing, then queue it for a human check before it is listed. US immigration law firms only.

Fees are each firm's own published figure where one exists, or "quote only" where none is posted. Field expertise, preparation timelines, and pricing scope are shown only where researched from public sources; "Not yet researched" means we have not looked yet, not that the firm lacks it. The research date is when public pages were read, not a verification of quality or outcomes. Headquarters, offices, founding year, and success rates are as each firm states them (rates are self-reported and unaudited). Listings include independent law firms and immigration platforms, none of them affiliated with VisaWorker; we do not endorse them, supervise their work, or guarantee any outcome, and we do not receive referral fees. Featured listings, where present, are paid advertising and are labelled. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Common questions

What people ask about immigration lawyer costs.

How does VisaWorker help me find an immigration lawyer?

You email us your field, your timeline and your budget, and we reply with firms in the directory that look like a reasonable fit plus what to ask each one. We help you compare; you choose your lawyer, hire them directly and pay them directly. We do not take referral fees. The optional AI visa strategy call is a voice conversation with our agent for exploring routes, and it does not produce a lawyer shortlist.

How much does an immigration lawyer cost for an O-1, EB-1A, or NIW petition?

Where firms publish a figure, legal fees for O-1, EB-1A, and NIW petitions generally run from a few thousand dollars at flat-fee boutiques to well into five figures at large full-service firms. USCIS government filing fees are separate and change over time. Most firms in this directory do not publish a number and quote only after a consultation; we mark each row as Published, Partial, Estimate, or Quote only so you can tell the difference.

What should I confirm before signing an engagement letter?

Ask what the fee covers: strategy, drafting, exhibits, filing, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs). Ask whether government filing fees, premium processing, and expert-letter drafting are included or billed separately. Ask for a preparation timeline to a file-ready draft, which is separate from USCIS processing time. Where a firm has stated these publicly we show them; otherwise the row says Confirm with firm.

Where does the directory data come from?

From each firm's own public website and other public pages. Where a field has been researched we list the source URL and the date we read it. That date means when the public information was collected, not that we verified the firm's quality or outcomes. Fields that have not been researched yet are labelled Not yet researched rather than guessed.

Can I prepare an O-1, EB-1A, or NIW petition without a lawyer?

EB-1A and NIW allow self-petitioning. O-1 needs a U.S. employer or agent as the petitioner. Many applicants prepare the draft and evidence themselves, with or without VisaWorker, and hire a lawyer for review and filing. Whether that is wise for your case is a question for independent counsel.

Is VisaWorker a law firm or a referral service?

No. VisaWorker is a software company. We help you gather evidence, draft, and compare firms; we do not give legal advice, take referral fees, or split legal fees. Firms may pay a flat fee for a featured listing; that is advertising and is labelled, and it is not evidence that a firm is right for you.
